UFC veteran Tim Elliott will return to action on March 5, 2022. He will take on Khabib Nurmagomedov’s training partner Tagir Ulanbekov in an important fight in the flyweight division.

Elliott is currently the number 12 ranked flyweight and is coming off a one-sided loss. He took on Matheus Nicolau at UFC Fight Night 194 and lost the fight via a unanimous decision. He went into that fight on the back of a two-fight win streak, but failed to keep his momentum going. Elliott signed with the UFC in 2012 and came into the promotion with an 8-2-1 record.

Tim Elliott faced Demetrious Johnson and lost the fight via a unanimous decision. Since then, he hasn’t been able to find consistency and his current record is 17-12-1.

He is currently on a five-fight win streak and is 2-0 in the UFC. His last fight was a tough one for him, and he came through via a split decision. Just like his partner Nurmagomedov, he is a grappler and won six fights via submission. However, his task is cut out at UFC 272 against a crafty veteran like Elliot.

Edson Barboza vs. Bryce Mitchell at UFC 272

One of the biggest prospects in the UFC will make his return at UFC 272. Bryce Mitchell is ranked 11 in UFC’s featherweight division and he’s being considered as the next big star. He is undefeated in his professional MMA career and has a 14-0 record. ‘Thug Nasty’ is known for his submission game and also won the submission of the year in 2019 for his submission to win over Matt Sayles. However, Mitchell hasn’t fought since October 2020, and ring rust might be a cause of concern for him.
