The UFC witnessed one of the ugliest feuds between legendary fighters Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov following the highly anticipated clash between the duo in 2018. The remarks they tossed at each other were so derogatory that UFC President Dana White has to step in between to warn them.

Replying to Khabib’s response, where he quoted Conor as a “jealous wife,” Conor took it to a whole new level. He took to the social media platform and shared a picture of the Russian star with his wife. Along with that, he wrote, “Your wife is a towel mate.”

However, it did not take long, and ‘The Notorious’ deleted the message very swiftly. But it was enough to invite his rival for an exchange of shots.

Anyhow, ‘The Eagle’ got the update. He came up firing on McGregor with more harsh remarks. He posted a picture of McGregor with a girl and, after making some serious allegations, he wrote, “You are a hypocrite who is not responsible for your actions. Justice will find you. We will see @The NotoriousMMA.”

Khabib accused McGregor after The New York Times covered a story. Per reports, the UFC’s biggest draw faced an investigation that took place in December in a hotel in Dublin, Ireland. The Ireland Police even took him into custody for questioning. However, he was not charged.

‘The Notorious’ did not stop. He kept on provoking his heated rival. In response to the remark, he wrote, “Plot Twist: It’s goat under that towel.”

Before this pointless trash talk could have an adverse impact, the UFC president entered the storyline. Taking a bold stand against both fighters, he clarified that it was unacceptable.

Before Khabib’s retirement, the fans were guessing a rematch between them. The first clash turned out to be historic. It was the biggest selling fight in MMA and UFC history.
