Khamzat Chimaev Calls Out Alex Pereira in a Special Request To UFC CEO Dana White

Khamzat Chimaev knows how to make headlines. The Chechen was the no. 1 contender for the middleweight title after defeating Kamaru Usman at UFC 294. However, an injury forced him to pass up a title shot at Sean Strickland in January next year.

Instead, #2 ranked middleweight Dricus Du Plessis will serve as Tarzan’s first title defense at UFC 297. However, it seems Chimaev has another target in sight: UFC light heavyweight champion and former middleweight champion Alex Pereira.

‘Borz’ took to his official X (formerly Twitter) account and posted a picture of him and Alex Pereira, side by side. “@danawhite let me finish him,” he wrote, asking the UFC boss to let him fight ‘Poatan’. This, of course, would mean that Chimaev would have to move to light heavyweight if he does have his wish granted.
