Khamzat Chimaev is returning to the octagon for another legendary fight. ‘Borz’ was last seen at UFC 294 where he won against  Kamaru Usman. After that, the 29-year-old has been on a hiatus for several reasons. Now he is finally returning to the octagon against former middleweight champion Robert Whittaker who recently enjoyed a victory against Paulo Costa at UFC 298. While the Borz looks to secure a win, Michael Bisping might have some apprehensions.

Michael Bisping had a conversation about the upcoming fight and discussed the possibilities with Mike Harrington. Bisping seemed excited about this fight but the former middle-weight champion also did point out a disadvantage in Chimaev’s way of fighting. Meanwhile, Harrington gave a great fighting tip to help Borz win the fight.

The Swede is one of the dominant athletes in the UFC. However, like everyone else, he too has some weaknesses in his fighting stance as was pointed out by Bisping. ‘Borz’ is going to fight against Robert Whittaker on June 22 in Saudi Arabia. This fight is going to have five rounds. ‘The Reaper’ is known as one of the most conditioned athletes in the division and five rounds against him is going to be grueling, to say the least. So if  Chimaev doesn’t finish Whittaker, it could be a very long night for him. But that’s not all.

On how Chimaev could strategize, Mike Harrington said, “If he [Khamzat] can’t finish him [Robert] early that could be a disastrous night for him in Saudi Arabia….If Robert Whittaker gets beaten typically you know it in that first round. That first, second round…And it’s like if you’re gonna do it against anyone Robert Whittaker makes the most sense because you know in those 25 minutes, he’s gonna find a way to gain the upper hand and win that fight.” The best solution Harrington could come up with was to finish the fight in the first or second round. He said, “so empty the gas tank early and hope for the best Khamzat.”

‘The Count’ pointed out that Whittaker was someone who did not run out of gas and was very experienced in fighting at the highest level. This is why Chimaev has to find a strategy where he can exhaust him in the first or second round itself. That is the best way to defeat him. It will be fascinating to see whether ‘Borz’ can go head-to-head with the ‘Reaper’ in a 5-round fight. Meanwhile, even Joe Rogan warned Chimaev about Robert Whittaker.

Joe Rogan gives a warning to Khamzat Chimaev for his next fight with Whittaker

The Russian is a lethal fighter but his opponent is no one to be trifled with and according to Rogan, it is going to be a tough fight for him. ‘The Reaper has already defeated Paulo Costa and he will expect to keep his winning momentum. Rogan said, “Bro Whittaker vs Khamzat is legit. That’s a real fight. That’s a real fight for Khamzat because Whittaker is a big dude. He’s a big, I mean, a solid beefy 185 former champion.”

The fans will be excited to witness one of the most entertaining fights in the division. However, it seems like everyone from Rogan to Bisping is tense about how Chimaev is going to defeat this opponent.
