Khamzat Chimaev recalled his first meeting with Logan Paul, in which the latter snubbed him and chose an amateur for a duel at the All Stars Gym in Sweden.

The welterweight star said he was just 2-0 in professional MMA when he first met the WWE star in the recent episode of MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani. The YouTuber turned boxer, who was visiting the All-Star Gym for a song album shoot, chose not to spar with Chimaev. He went with a lesser-known amateur fighter instead.
“I didn’t train with him actually… He was there and he did with one amateur. I was a professional guy at that time 2-0 or something. He didn’t wanna spar with me or other guys who’s professional,” Chimaev said.
“He chose one guy who is amateur, he don’t train anymore with the guys as well. Nobody knows him. He was like and he (Logan Paul) did with him like 50-50 on the sparring. And he left after that,” he added.
Further on, ‘The Wolf’ revealed that he was unaware of the YouTube star Logan Paul. However, now the welterweight star admits the Paul brothers have improved over time.
“I didn’t know who he was at that time. Now he gets better, his brother (Jake Paul) also gets better in boxing like he trains like professional now… maybe once I fight with them as well,” Chimaev concluded.
Although ‘Borz’ has hinted at a potential clash with the Paul brothers, that fight can be an option for the future. As of now, the Russian-born fighter has his hands full in the UFC.

‘Borz’ has had only one goal ever since his debut in the promotion, which is to become a UFC champion. In his quest to become the welterweight king, Chimaev recently defeated a top contender and made his spot in the top-5 of the division.

Now the Russian-born Swedish fighter will face the fan-favorite Nate Diaz next. This much anticipated welterweight showdown will headline UFC 279 pay-per-view on 10th September inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Chimaev is unbeaten in the UFC, whereas Diaz has lost his last two fights. On his UFC contract, Diaz might depart from the promotion after this match. In the meantime, ‘Borz’ has a great chance to win a title shot if he prevails.
