Many UFC fans and pundits believe that ‘Borz’ can be the next champion in the UFC, given his domination in the division. Ever since he entered the promotion, he has been mauling his opponents inside the cage.

The Russian-born Swedish fighter has an undefeated record of 11-0 under his name and has finished four opponents out of his previous five. Recently, he defeated one of the top five welterweight contenders. With this win, Chimaev secured the number three position on the roster.

Hence, this makes ‘Borz’ eligible to call out the champion. However, Chimaev has been asking for a title fight for a long time. But this time, he did it in a different style.

The ‘Lone Wolf’ made a thrilling poster, including him and the welterweight champion Usman. He uploaded the picture on his official Instagram account with the caption, Tell me when you’re ready @usman84kg.”

Khamzat Chimaev has had one of the most amazing runs in the promotion in recent times. However, many still believe he has some more to do before getting a title shot next.

Talking about the title fight, the British fighter Leon Edwards is in the best position to earn a title shot. With a nine-fight undefeated win streak in the division, he is surely the next viable option for the title.

Hence, Chimaev might have to wait for Edwards and Usman to finish their business first. In the meantime, Chimaev can fight the former title challenger and number one ranked welterweight fighter Colby Covington.
