When Khamzat Chimaev invited Till to train with him

Back in 2021, after a crushing loss to Derek Brunson left Darren Till in a slump, Khamzat Chimaev saw something special in his fellow fighter. Extending a helping hand, Chimaev invited Till to train at his camp and even boosted his morale. Khamzat Chimaev said in an interaction with BT Sport in 2021, “I invited him to Stockholm, he’d be welcome. I told him, ‘I can help with the wrestling or something. We can spar. We can train'”

So, then Till decided to head to Sweden in 2022 to train with Chimaev and Alexander Gustafsson at Allstars Gym. They trained and shared updates of their sessions, which created exciting moments for their fans and themselves. Now, after a mutual agreement led to Darren Till’s release from the UFC in 2023, he is taking route to boxing. Despite these career shifts, his friendship and loyalty to Khamzat Chimaev remain strong, as evidenced by him lauding Chimaev in the interviews.
