“Borz” took a year-long break from the UFC, making a powerful comeback at UFC 294. The excitement was real, but he ended up injuring his hand in the process. Fans thought it was just a minor setback, but it turned out to be a major blow to the fighter’s health. Despite his bad health, the fighter has not given up on his will to fight.

Fans were eagerly anticipating Khamzat Chimaev’s ascent to the UFC championship in 2024, following his return at UFC 294. Unfortunately, a hand injury interrupted his momentum, prompting him to temporarily step away from the octagon once again. Chimaev, in his bid to recover, has taken the necessary time to heal his hand. However, concerns arose when he recently shared some photos on Twitter (which have now been deleted), revealing a seemingly serious condition.

Chimaev shared a photo of him where it can be seen that the fighter is suffering from a skin infection. he had a swollen face, rashes on his skin, reddened eyes, and even rested on a hospital bed. The situation was dire for the undefeated warrior because in the past he was recovering from COVID-19 and had to undergo surgery to recover. Mant MMA personalities even believed that he had recovered from the surgery.

However, seems like the Emriti is not willing to give up on his dreams yet. Chimaev has recently uploaded a story on his Instagram handle where he can be seen having a playful wrestling session with his friends just before going to the hospital. “Borz” captioned it in Russian which translates to “5-0 my license to Olympics”. Did Chimaev predict his return when he uploaded the story?

When are we gonna see Chimaev back in action again?

Khamzat Chimaev recently post͏ed͏ a video on Twitter stating, ͏”I’m coming back for my ͏belts.” In the video, Chimaev appeared noticeably healthier and in better shape than seen in previous pictur͏es. This suggests a potential return to the octagon for a title fight sooner than what fans might ha͏ve anticipated.

Chimaev was promised that if he were to defeat Kamaru Usman at UFC 294 then he would get a direct route to the middleweight title against Sean Strickland, however, injury stopped the fighter from progressing further and Dricus Du Plessis clinched the title shot.
