29-year-old Khamzat Chimaev defeated Kamaru Usman at UFC 294 via decision and cemented his place in the middleweight division. However, he had to take a break from the sport because of illness. The Swede is now making a comeback against Robert Whittaker in Saudi Arabia. While many believe that the fight is a perfect match, Sonnen doesn’t quite agree with it. According to him, ‘The Reaper’ doesn’t have much to gain from the fight. He even claimed that the fight might just get scratched off because of this reason.

Jason ‘Mayhem’ Miller recently sat down for a chat with MMA Reporter Helen Yee. Currently retired from the sport, Miller seemed super excited about the upcoming battle between Chimaev and Whittaker. The 43-year-old former UFC fighter locked horns with some of the best in the promotion during his fighting days. While speaking to Yee he had a tough time picking his favorite. He said, “Man Whitaker’s got that style that you know it’s so exciting to watch and very like the edge of your seat kind of kind of fighter.”

He also pointed out the wrestling prowess of Chimaev, which might put Whittaker in trouble. However, he did pick his favorite and said, “man that that that’s a tough one that’s one of those where my heart’s with Whittaker you know but my wallet might be with Chimaev.” The fight is still two months away and the fans will hope it doesn’t get cancelled.
