The internet is a wild place. Charles Dickens’s famous quote “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times” is a perfect descriptor of the internet. It can be an awful place that can (and does) stoke division and hate, spread misinformation, and be used to target individuals with relentless trolling. Logan Paul‘s fiancée Nina Agdal, for example, was a victim of a vicious online trolling campaign by Dillon Danis recently.

On the other hand, it can be the most wonderful place. One can learn literally anything they want, access places and people on the other side of the world, organize political movements and protests, and provide the best means to stay in touch with one’s friends and family. And one such hilarious and heartwarming incident happened, which just might give us the next UFC undefeated superstar.

Online dare goes completely out of control

Instagram user reed_harrington23 posted a video on his Instagram account. In it, he says that when he hits 200k followers, he will do whatever the top comment on that video says. “Okay, when I hit 200 thousand followers, I’ll do whatever the top comment says on this video and post it,” Harrington said in the video on his Instagram.

This prompted another Instagram user, fiven9nekid to leave a comment that soon reached the top of his comments section. The comment asked the American kid, who has no MMA training, to move to Thailand, learn the Thai language, and train in Muay Thai. However, the dare did not end there.

Following this, the commenter asked him to participate in and win a Muay Thai tournament. Then he wanted the kid to return to the USA and join the UFC, remain undefeated in his UFC career, and then retire. Finally, he WAS required to do an interview and credit fiven9nekid’s comment for all his success.

“Fly to small town in Thailand, get accepted by their people, learn the language, train in muy thai for a year and half, fight in a tournament, win the tournament, return to the USA and join the UFC, stay in shape and go undefeated in your weight class, retire and do an interview saying this comment was the reason you fought so hard,” the top comment read.
