It seems like everything Conor McGregor touches turns to gold. After becoming the biggest ever mixed martial artist, a multi-million dollar whiskey empire owner, and launching a successful media company, ‘The Notorious’ has taken his first steps into another industry. The former UFC champ announced he had founded the ‘Greenback Records’ music label a few days ago days ago in his native Republic of Ireland. Not only has he founded the label, but he revealed has signed one of the greatest hip-hop groups in history. This, of course, has led to an outpouring of congratulatory messages, including from showbiz royalty.

As usual, Conor McGregor took to social media to announce that he had signed the iconic Bones Thugs-N-Harmony to his Greenbacks Records. The Dubliner told fans in an Instagram post that not only had he acquired the legendary group, but would be releasing their first in-house single ‘Aww’, which shockingly, will feature the late Eazy-E among the founders of gangsta rap.
“The Notorious Thug Era has begun. I welcome the greatest Rap group of all time to @greenback.records BONE THUGS N HARMONY @btnhlive WATCH THE WORLD EXCLUSIVE OF OUR FIRST RELEASE LIVE TONIGHT ON @daznboxing” ‘Mac’ wrote.

This prompted a response from hit rap artist Kodak Black, who seemed delighted at the former UFC two-division champion having forayed into the music business. “MY NI**A @thenotoriousmma,” the rapper commented on ‘Mac’s post.

Black and McGregor are friends, with the rapper revealing in an interview that while he and the Irishman didn’t have much in common, he was a fan of MMA’s greatest showman’s “whole swag overall,” which, to be fair, is one of the main reasons ‘The Notorious’ is so popular. While McGregor was taking his victory lap at having signed the group, and seeing their music on the Jake Paul vs Mike Perry fight, the result of the fight turned his mood around completely on its head.

‘Mac’ chews out Mike Perry for losing to Jake Paul
Conor McGregor was delighted to see Mike Perry walk out to Bone Thugs N-Harmony’s 1994 cult hit ‘Thuggish Ruggish Bone’ for his Jake Paul fight last night. The Irishman took to social media, commending the BKFC star’s taste in music. “WHAT A BEAT! GREENBACK RECORDS BABY!” ‘Mac’ wrote in all caps while adding, “What a song! BONE THUGS N HARMONY FOR GREENBACK RECORDS RIGHT NOW LIVE FOR THE MAINT EVENT WALKOUT OF OUR BAREKNUCKLER!”

However, McGregor’s esteem for Perry’s music taste soon turned into disappointment, after Paul humiliated ‘Platinum’ for six rounds before knocking him out in the sixth round of their boxing match. ‘Mac’, of course, is a minority shareholder in the BKFC, where Perry is currently signed.
After the unceremonious loss, ‘Mac’ ‘fired’ Perry, telling him to leave the BKFC. “Hey Mike youre released and you can go and compete in your smelly dirty boxing championship thing, the smell of it, good luck. You’re fired,” the 36-year-old wrote on social media. However, in a good news for the BKFC star, McGregor cannot make that decision, and while it may have been a way for him to express his frustration at losing to Jake Paul, whom he detests, thankfully, Perry is not going anywhere.
