Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker Re-Create Their Famous UFC 264 Scene at the 2022 Met Gala

From the dark ages of the early days to global acceptance, UFC has come a long way in the past 25+ years. Dana White and the company have helped build the sport from the ground up and have created many superstars. These marquee names include the likes of Conor McGregor, Georges St-Pierre, Anderson Silva, Ronda Rousey, and many more. Whenever these top athletes competed, the promotion usually saw a string of celebrities appearing at its events. 

UFC 264, which took place last year, also saw a number of A-listers turn up to the witness epic rubber match. With one KO victory each, McGregor and Dustin Poirier were all set to close out their rivalry. The gathering of celebrities included names like Kourtney Kardashian & Travis Barker, Justin Bieber, Dave Chappelle, and so on.

The power couple, Kardashian, and rapper Barker left an everlasting image on the MMA community when the cameras panned toward them. The duo was spotted showcasing their affection for one another at the recent Met Gala event as well, which gave us all a throwback to the massive UFC card.

UFC 264 did not go as planned for Conor McGregor

Fans and A-listers may have had the time of their life at the mega-event, but the ‘Notorious’ one walked away with another loss. The Irish mixed martial artist found himself losing two straight fights against Poirier, and on top of that, he suffered a career-threatening injury. McGregor hasn’t fought since and is still recuperating from the leg injury that he sustained.

The UFC star has been taking aim at the welterweight title ever since, which currently sits in the hands of P4P #1 fighter, Kamaru Usman. The Notorious one even shared images of his buffed-up body, which might suggest a permanent move to 170lbs weight class. This could also suggest that his days of fighting a lightweight division might finally be over.
