Tracy Cortez recently made a triumphant return to the Octagon after almost a year and a half on the sidelines. However, she had been in the news due to her breakup with ex-boyfriend and UFC fighter Brian Ortega. In a recent appearance on ‘The MMA Hour’, Cortez opened up about her regret when it comes to her personal life being in the public eye.

Tracy Cortez and Brian Ortega looked inseparable when they were together. They even cornered each other during their fights and were very open about their relationship. However, things turned sour when both Cortez and Ortega took shots at each other on social media. And the 29-year-old later came to regret some of her past decisions. The 11-1 fighter mentioned how anything she does nowadays, instantly becomes viral on social media. From her photos to some of the statements she makes online, people tend to always pick it up, and she doesn’t even know why such things occur frequently. Tracy Cortez said, “It’s one of those things where I notice where if there is a photo of me, it might go viral. Why? I don’t know, but just like a simple selfie, it went viral.”

Furthermore, she revealed that she doesn’t like revealing too much about herself to the public. She also has a very small circle of friends. The Arizona native added, “I am a very private person. I have a very small circle that I consider friends.” Hence, the 29-year-old has learned her lesson about keeping things about her personal life to herself.

“So anything, like personal life, I think I’ll stay to myself from now on. Lesson learned,” said Tracy Cortez. Regardless of the problems she faced in her personal life, her professional life continues to flourish with her recent win.

Arizona native records yet another win

Tracy Cortez seems to be on a roll with a run of a lifetime. After losing her first-ever professional fight, she built a winning streak of eleven fights. She recently defeated Jasmine Jasudavicius at Noche UFC in a dominant fashion, earning a unanimous decision victory.

Jasudavicius has four wins in five fights she has had in the UFC. So it was not an easy task for Cortez to return after a long layoff against a fighter who was on top of her game. Nevertheless, she reminded the fans that she was a legitimate contender in the flyweight division.

It remains to be seen what’s next for Tracy Cortez after her 6th consecutive UFC win. It may not be long before she finds herself in title contention against Alexa Grasso.
