Jake Paul defeated Ben Askren via knockout in his third professional boxing fight at Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta. After the fight ended ‘Funky’ told the media that he wants Tyron Woodley to fight Jake Paul as ‘The Chosen One’ is a much more decorated striker than him.

Woodley is the former UFC welterweight champion of the UFC, with three successful title defenses to his record. In an interview with Ariel Helwani, Woodley opened up about fighting Jake Paul in a boxing match.

‘The Chosen One’ said, “If you want to go in and get it on, let’s do it. I don’t think he wants to do it. They offered me this, they offered me to fight him in November. Obviously, I couldn’t do it because I’m you know under contract with UFC but for this time I’m at the holiday. Dana or somebody hey guys, I don’t what’s going on right, it works out, but let me beat this dude’s a** please give me permission”.

The former champion looks eager to beat Paul and needs the approval of UFC President Dana White. According to reports, Vicente Luque was the last fight for Tyron Woodley under his contract. But according to Woodley, he has got the green signal to continue fighting for the UFC, which could jeopardize any exhibition against Jake Paul.

Just before the Jake Paul vs Ben Askren fight, Tyron Woodley entered the former’s locker room. There, J’ Leon Love started taunting the UFC former champion by saying, “You don’t know nothing about boxing gloves.”

Love continued, “You can’t f*** with me any day of the week.” Woodley looked uninterested and said, “A’int no money behind you.” ‘The Chosen One’ downplayed Paul in front of his team as he rooted for his buddy Askren.

‘The Problem Child’ offered Woodley the chance to place a bet on his friend, but ‘The Chosen One’ declined. Later, Tyron Woodley revealed that he felt Paul and his teammates disrespected him.

Hence, he wants to settle the beef with ‘The Problem Child’ inside the boxing ring. Therefore, as a contracted UFC fighter, he needs approval from Dana White to fight a boxing match.
