The one fighter in the UFC that does not hold back in speaking his mind is Sean Strickland. The man has made some very bizarre statements in the best, and some bold statements. Now, it looks like he’s after the current UFC middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya.

Strickland is currently ranked number 7 in the UFC middleweight rankings, and preparing for his next challenge. He is scheduled to face Jack Hermansson at UFC Fight Night 201 next year. During a recent interview, he talked about his next challenge and if he thinks he should get a title shot in the second half of 2022. He said that he thinks he should get a shot by end of the year. Not only that, but he also accused Israel Adesanya of using performance-enhancing drugs.

He also joked about him joining Adesanya, and they could do it all together. He said, “Izzy, I’ll come over dude. We can watch anime and you can put some f*cking testosterone in my ass. I’ll do it with you. Let’s f*cking go. With a needle, I think you guys do the stomach, right? Is that where you guys do, the stomach? You’re the expert on f*cking steroids. How’s it done?”

Strickland with the dig referred to Adesanya’s title defense at UFC 253 against Paulo Costa. During the whole fight week, Adesanya was questioned about the swelling on his right pectoral muscle that some claimed to be Gynecomastia. However, ‘The Last Stylebender’ dismissed such allegations against himself.

Israel Adesanya prepares to defend his title

While Strickland makes fun and takes a dig at Adesanya, he will be preparing for his next title defense. The Nigerian-born New Zealand fighter, Adesanya, last entered the octagon in June 2021. The UFC middleweight champion will soon be back in action, as he is scheduled to take on Robert Whittaker. The rematch will happen at UFC 271 on February 12, 2022.

The pair first fought at UFC 243, where Adesanya knocked Whittaker out in the second round, and became the champion. If ‘The Last Stylebender’ gets past the former champion, the winner of Derek Brunson and Jared Cannonier will be in line to fight him next. With Strickland also in the mix.

It’s safe to say that Adesanya is going to be busy as a champion in the coming times. Unless Whittaker has something to say about it at UFC 271.

What do you think of the suggestions made by Sean Strickland? Do you think Adesanya takes PEDs? Who do you think wins between Israel Adesanya and Robert Whittaker? Let us know in the comments!
