Recently, ‘The Maverick’ declared his intentions to share the cage with one of the rising stars of the UFC, i.e. Paddy Pimblett.

In an interview with Ariel Helwani on MMA Hour, Paul said, “I found out who I’d like to fight if I did a UFC match. Paddy the Baddy. I swear to god. Cause he… they’re saying he’s possibly the next Conor McGregor right he’s like super charismatic he’s entertaining as hell uh he’s on the come up he’s young like me he’s got a real loudmouth but I just like the way he can like perform.”

“And I think also in the offseason he can come up like 25 pounds that he could blow up in the offseason I’ve never seen anything like it just like someone put f**k like vacuum or like a pump in him and just like pump and so if he can get up to 185 and I can get down to 185 and possibly do a UFC match.”

This match will attract attention as ‘The Baddy’ shares a similar persona to UFC’s biggest ever star Conor McGregor. This is something even Dana White has hinted at.

Paddy Pimblett Rising lightweight sensation

‘The Baddy’ was a prominent figure in MMA even before he made his UFC debut. Pimblett was a featherweight champion in Cage Warriors, MMA. In his professional career, the Scouser has 18 victories (6 knockouts, 8 submissions) and 3 defeats.

Pimblett, an Orthodox UFC lightweight contender who has won two of his UFC fights in the first round, is regarded as a budding lightweight prodigy. He is only one year old in the UFC, but he has everyone’s interest.

Even Dana White confirmed he is the next big thing in UFC. The Liverpool player wants a contract renegotiation with UFC because he feels he is being underpaid for his performance.
