LOOK: Joe Rogan Picked Apart for His Performance This Past Saturday

Joe Rogan has been in the UFC since 1997 and has created a place for himself in the hearts of mixed martial arts fans. However, the podcast host has also received flak for some of his comments while at the desk. In a similar instance, Rogan’s comments about Max Holloway at UFC 276 received backlash.

One user shared his view on Twitter. He wrote, “When Joe Rogan said “one thing Max doesnt get enough credit for: his chin” I immediately went to a mirror to check whether the left side of my face had dropped, convinced the only way I could have actually heard that was if I was having some kind of stroke or aneurysm

A user agreed with the post and commented, “Yes, ufc is substantially worse when joe Rogan is involved.”

Another fan pointed out a blunder Rogan once made and commented, “He also referred to Uriah Hall as Uriah Faber mid fight. They don’t even look that much alike!”

One fan wrote, “I don’t know if you saw, but he also characterized Volk as “pitbull, aggressive, wild, lots of heart” and Max as “clever, chess player, fight IQ”

Another fan wrote, “Lmao I said the same thing in a gc, like WHO has not talked about his chin? It’s legendary.

One user shared a funny GIF and commented, “me walking into a room with all the people that don’t give credit to max’s chin

 

While the post highlighted the issue, this isn’t the first time fans have criticized the commentator. Rogan has been criticized on multiple occasions and has also responded to it.

Joe Rogan responds to biased commentary allegations

Being a color commentator is a tough job. While one might receive stardom doing it, there is also a fair share of criticism attached. Such was the case with Joe Rogan. The podcast host was once criticized when fans felt he failed to give enough credit to Jan Blachowicz for his victory over Israel Adesanya at UFC 259.

When Rogan was asked how he dealt with allegations of him doing biased commentary, he replied, “I try to be very fair, always, with my commentary. And I’m also very respectful.”

Like, even if you think that my commentary was biased, or one way or another, you’ll never think I’m disrespectful, ‘cause I try to; unless someone’s doing something dirty.”

Even though Rogan has received criticism for his commentary, there are many who admire his takes on the fights. They consider the 54-year-old to be an indispensable part of the UFC.
