Joe Rogan has been a relevant part of the MMA world since the 1990s and has been an avid fan of the sport. In an episode of his podcast show, the multi-talented journalist named the best stare-down in the history of MMA.
According to Rogan, it was between Mirko CroCop vs. Wanderlei Silva. CroCop was a part of the Lučko Anti-Terrorist Unit, Croatia’s elite Police Special Forces tactical unit, and was also a professional fighter. He met Wanderlei Silva at Pride Final Conflict Absolute in the semi-finals and won the bout by his trademark head kick knockout.
Before the fight, the two opponents had one of the most intense stare-downs in MMA history.

Rogans said,” Here’s the best stare-down of all time in MMA… That’s the eyes of the guy (CroCop) who’s killed someone with a knife. Here’s a f*ckin completely different stare-down here. CroCop looking at him and he’s not budging. This is the first time where Wanderlei lost a stare-down.”
He added,” Wanderlei was used to staring guys down and they would be intimidated, and CroCop looked at him like he was dinner.”
