Jamahal Hill is riding the wave of success after defeating Glover Teixeira at UFC 283, which crowned him the new light heavyweight champion. He’s now the center of attention, with top-tier fighters like Alex Pereira and Jiri Prochazka being linked to face him in the octagon. However, Hill doesn’t let the pressure get to him and is confident in his ability to knock out any opponent. The Illinois native recently called out the 18-1-1 record holder Magomed Ankalaev, saying that even he doesn’t seem like much of a threat to him.

The 31-year-old said, “He’s up at the top. If I’m ready to go and I’m ready to fight, I fight who’s available… I wouldn’t mind knocking him(Magomed Ankalaev) the f*ck out just for the simple fact that people keep bringing his name up talking to me.”

As soon as this news reached Magomed Ankalaev, he didn’t waste any time in responding to Hill’s challenge. In a snide remark, Ankalaev referred to Hill as ‘chubby’ and made it clear that he was coming for what he believed was his – the light heavyweight belt.

“I don’t really think they feeling Magomed like that. You know, just for like the simple fact of how he responded to the decision of it being a draw. He goes, ‘I’ll never fight for the UFC’. You know, like, that’s not gonna get you a title shot, bro. They might put him through another test.”
