It’s well known in the public domain that anything associated with the ‘Lone Wolf’ Khamzat Chimaev is wild. Hence, fans would have been expecting the same from the content on his YouTube channel.

With the new channel, the first thing that ‘Borz’ did was revisit the verbal agreement between him and welterweight #2 Gilbert Burns to fight in 2022.
While talking about the welterweight division, Chimaev stopped at ‘Durinho’ and shared an instance where his coach, Alan Finfou, who is also Brazilian, ‘smashed’ Burns.

“Gilbert Burns talked about Brazil. I am more Brazilian than him. Because my coach is Brazilian. I am a blue belt under Alan Finfou. I know many time my coach smashed him on the mats, Gilbert,” Chimaev said.

Later, Chimaev went on his usual rant. However, this time, he sprinkled a little respect for ‘Durinho’s name.
“We are going to choke him out. A Finfou blue belt against a black belt. I like this guy, actually. He’s a funny, nice guy. I want to fight with him. But in war, brother, I can’t be nice with somebody. I want to eat everybody. Take my money. Take my belt. I’m so hungry.”

With Chimaev shifting to the fifth gear in his callout, how could Burns miss the action? The welterweight ace was swift in responding to Chimaev’s subtle callout.
‘Durinho’ took to Twitter to challenge Chimaev to a five-round grappling fest. He even requested UFC President Dana White to set up the bout.

This is not the first time that both of the elite welterweights have agreed to scrap against each other in the premier promotion. Recently, Chimaev and Burns messaged each other on Instagram and agreed to a fight in April. Chimaev later shared the news on his Instagram story.
