Makhachev’s manager stated that the people didn’t have to like the Dagestani fighter, but should respect his achievements inside the octagon and in Dana White’s promotion.

He once claimed that Makhachev is the better and improved version of the UFC legend, Khabib Nurmagomedov, in an interview with TMZ. He also recently rooted for the 31-year-old Dagestani fighter to win against Volkanovski, claiming that he had a huge power advantage on his side. However, the match turned out to be a close fight.
