“Man the F*ck Up” – Female MMA Champion’s Unorthodox Technique Has Conor McGregor Calling Her an “Irish Celtic Warrior”

It takes a special fighter to earn the respect of Conor McGregor! That is exactly what Danni McCormack went and did. The 33-year-old became the first-ever Irish Invicta FC champion last month when she defeated Valesca Machado at Invicta FC 52 for the strawweight title. Now, ‘Mac’ has’ earned another shoutout from ‘Mystic Mac’ thanks to an inspirational Instagram post.
If you know Conor McGregor, then you know how proud he is of his Irish heritage. Ever since his UFC debut, the Irishman has been an icon for the country and tries to shine the name of Ireland at every opportunity he gets. He also holds other Irish athletes in high regard and often sends them commendations for their achievements. Therefore, the 34-year-old did the same for McCormack when she won the Invicta FC women’s strawweight title last month.
Danni McCormack is not just a compatriot for McGregor. She is also a teammate at SBG Ireland under the tutelage of John Kavanagh. Therefore, McGregor was extra-proud when she won her Invicta title fight, that too on her birthday.

Conor McGregor reacts to Danni McCormack’s message
McGregor recently shared his reaction to a message that Dani McCormack shared. In an IG post, ‘Mac’ wrote, “When your 22 minutes in and your body finally goes from tiredness to FATIGUE I wish I had a motivational self talk insight here but I literally started singing in my head my favourite pick me up song closed my eyes and took a few deep breaths while humming the first verse.”

She continued, “This was the anthem I played the last 5 mins of my altitude runs and it always raises my mood when the going gets real tough Sometimes you gotta bop along when your digging deep. I never find the “man the fu*k up” self talks work when you are already “manning the fu*k up” and you just need a little positive distraction from the chaos and exhaustion.”

McCormack’s message seemed to have inspired McGregor who commented “Legend” under the post. ‘The Notorious’ one also shared the post on his Instagram story, calling her an “Irish Celtic Warrior.”
