However, heading into the fight, he decided to undergo a massive makeover by changing the color of his hair to blonde. ‘The Hangman’ was seen posing with featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski as fans shared their reaction to the change in his look on social media.

Hooker has not been able to find his footing in the last few fights in the UFC. He’s registered only two wins out of his last six fights. However, the fighter will go into his fight against Jalin Turner at UFC 290 with a victory over Claudio Puelles at UFC 281. But it was his appearance that caught fan’s attention and they had a lot to say.

Dan Hooker was recently seen hanging out with his friends, including his fellow City Kickboxing teammate, Alexander Volkanovski. He appears to have bleached his hair and will sport this look in his upcoming fight. ‘The Great’ will also fight at UFC 290 against Yair Rodriguez in the main event for the undisputed featherweight championship.

It amused the fans to see Dan Hooker’s new blonde look. They flocked into the comments section in a post shared by MMA reporter Alex Behunin and took some jibes at the Kiwi fighter.
One fan claimed that he was trying to copy former champion Charles Oliveira‘s look. After all, he is known to sport blonde hair in the UFC.

While many fans compared his look to ‘Do Bronx’s hairstyle, one Twitter user stated that Dan Hooker was nothing like the Brazilian. He claimed that Hooker lacked the qualities that made Charles Oliveira a champion and a fan favorite.

While fans may have had a lot to say about his bleached hair, Hooker’s upcoming fight is arguably a must-win battle for him. The fight was supposed to take place at UFC 285. However, ‘The Hangman’ had to withdraw due to an injury. A win against Jalin Turner could help him inch closer to title contention, as ‘The Tarantula’ has a lot of momentum with five wins in his last six fights.
