The former UFC interim lightweight champion tweeted in response to a message sent by Peyton Murphy. The five-time cancer survivor sent a tweet for Poirier. Murphy wrote, “Gang Gang @DustinPoirier” along with a picture of the two.

In response to Murphy’s tweet, Poirier wrote, “You’re the strongest person I’ve ever met Peyton.” However, this isn’t the first time the Louisiana fighter has encouraged and praised his fellow Louisiana citizen.
