Talks about Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk facing each other inside the Octagon have taken over the internet. The fight has been so hyped that the UFC Hall of Famer, Chael Sonnen, couldn’t steer away from talking about it on his YouTube talk show. He previously stated that the CEO of Meta gave him a call and provided some insights about the fight that Sonnen needed to disclose during his appearance on ‘The MMA Hour’.
However, the spokesperson for Zuckerberg later denied that Zuckerberg had any such talk with Sonnen. Although it landed Sonnen in troubled waters, he was adamant with his take on the subject. In his recent talk, the former fighter tried to justify how big ‘The MMA Hour’ was and stood strong on the point that Zuckerberg, in fact, gave him a call.

Chael Sonnen doesn’t budge from his claims
Sonnen’s words carry a boatload of weightage when it comes to talks about the world of combat sports. Previously, he claimed that prior to his talk with Ariel Helwani, Zuckerberg provided him with some important information to be disclosed during his talk with Helwani.
In the recent episode of ‘Bad Guy Inc’, Sonnen stuck to his claims. He revealed that Zuckerberg confirmed his fight with Musk would take place during the events of UFC 300. Thereafter, he justified why Zuckerberg provided the information right before Sonnen had the talk with Helwani.
Sonnen stated, “Somewhere within that time I got a phone call, and it’s Mark Zuckerberg, who says, “I see you’re going on Ariel’s show. I am going to be fighting this thing with Elon, the date for-” it was the only thing we don’t have. We got the two guys we know were gonna fight. The only thing we don’t have is the when. I’m adding some words this wasn’t verbatim. But they’re gonna do it at UFC 300. He has given me the info so that I can come on Ariel’s show. She’s a big show.”

Did Zuckerberg really give the information to Sonnen?
Although Sonnen was pretty strong with his take, Zuckerberg’s spokesperson recently declared that the Meta CEO didn’t call the former UFC fighter.
The spokesperson said, “I have confirmed with Mark that he did not call Chael Sonnen.” Nevertheless, the chances of a fight between the two billionaires still remains a possibility.
