Recently, the UFC Hall of Famer, Khabib Nurmagomedov predicted who he thinks would win between Max Holloway and Alexander Volkanovski at the upcoming event of UFC 276. Nurmagomedov went with Volkanovski and predicted another successful title defense for him. He reasoned, “he has a little bit more fire than Max Holloway.”

In a recent interview ahead of his upcoming bout, Max Holloway reacted to Khabib Nurmagomedov’s comments about him not having the “fire” Volkanovski has. Hollway had a savage reply for ‘The Eagle’ and said that Khabib was probably referring to the fire he saw on Volkanovski’s cooking grill.

Hollway said, “What I think Khabib means, I think Alex should be happy. He got a man watching his cooking shows. That’s probably the fire he talking about.”

At the end of the day, I’m playing video games. So I guess you can’t really see a fire. I mean, I scream when my guys or teammates screw up, or when I screw up. That’s pretty fire to me. But Khabib actually, literally sees fire on the grill that Alex is using to cook. So, that’s probably where he got it from, added ‘Blessed.’

The upcoming bout at UFC 276 will be the trilogy bout for Holloway and Volkanvski. Many fight fans would consider this fight the decider of who the greatest featherweight of all time is. The last two times they fought, Volkanovski took away the wins. One via split decision and the other via unanimous decision.

Ahead of the upcoming clash against Volkanovski, Max Holloway spoke about how he doesn’t consider this bout as the greatest of all time decider. Holloway gave light to the career of the former champion Jose Aldo and indicated he was the greatest his division had ever seen.

Holloway said, “A lot of fans, a lot of people are saying it. Do we forget the man Jose Aldo? The man got eight title wins. I have five title wins. Until someone can beat his records as a champion with the eight title wins, then they can consider themselves the GOAT in featherweight. I got five to get here. To get Alex for my sixth title win. That’s just the cherry on top.”
