Maxim Grishin Returns to Action; Set to Take on Ed Herman at UFC 271

As the year comes to an end, UFC has already started gearing up for a blockbuster start of 2022. 2021 was an amazing year for the promotion because it had some of the highly anticipated fights. Now, fans expect to see more of such exciting bouts happen next year.

Therefore, UFC seems to be trying to make some of the best fights happen yet again. UFC 271 is expected to take place in February 2022 and fans cannot wait for it to materialize.

Will Maxim Grishin face Ed Herman in UFC 271?

MMA Junkie reported that fighters Maxim Grishin and Ed Herman have agreed verbally to a fight at UFC 271. However, UFC is yet to confirm whether this light heavyweight bout will take place. Contracts, location as well as other details too, have not been disclosed.

Both the fighters are exceptionally experienced and talented. Grishin has a great MMA record of 31 wins, 9 losses, and 2 draws. He started fighting under UFC only in 2020. Having been a part of some of the best MMA promotions like PFL and M-1 Global, he surely is a tough fighter looking to carve his name in UFC as well. He is coming off a loss against Dustin Jacoby.

Ed Herman has an MMA record of 27 wins and 15 losses. He too is coming off a recent loss. Herman had been fighting for UFC since 2006 and has enjoyed a long career with the promotion. Hence, both the fighters seem like suitable opponents for each other. 

UFC 271 already has some really incredible fights lined up. Having Maxim Grishin face Ed Herman would be a great addition to it. Seeing both the fighters clash in the octagon for the first time might be very interesting for fans.
