In a recent tweet, Shields wrote, “Maybe @TheNotoriousMMA is just eating horse meat and Acai”. This dig was because, as per Shields, McGregor had previously accused him of using banned substances.

Apart from Jake Shields, Henry Cejudo also took a did at ‘The Notorious’. Both had been beefing on social media a while ago. Hence, ‘Triple C’ shared a tweet that mentioned McGregor not having been tested by USADA for months. Cejudo thus wrote, “Come on in, the water’s fine! @TheNotoriousMMA #TheReturn #McTapper”.

With ‘The Messenger’ planning a return and re-entering the testing pool, things might get more interesting.

Cejudo had taken on the role of a coach after retiring from MMA at UFC 249. However, he seems interested in coming back and dominating soon. While Cejudo and McGregor make somewhat unusual rivals, there seems to be a lot of dislike between the two, resulting in Twitter spats now and then.

Both the athletes had reignited their beef after McGregor took a dig at Cejudo by calling him a ‘fat midget novice’ for holding a kick pad for Cris Cyborg. Thus, it would be interesting to see if this tiff materializes into something big or fizzles out.

Similarly, McGregor, who has already been champion at featherweight and lightweight, looks interested in reaching the very top of the welterweight. Cejudo feels McGregor is more likely to win the third belt much faster than him. This is mainly because of McGregor’s popularity and his relationship with Dana White.
