Rafael Fiziev defeated Renato Moicano in convincing fashion when the pair faced each other at UFC 256. In a dominating performance, ‘Ataman’ KO’d Moicano in the first -round itself. Ever since that fight, fans have been speculating as to who Fiziev will face next. Fiziev himself has called out a few fighters, including Kevin Lee.

However, Lee decided to move up to the welterweight division and had a fight set with Sean Brady for UFC 264. Although ‘The Motown Phenom’ had to withdraw because of an injury and the fight had to be moved to UFC Fight Night 192.

While Fiziev did not get his wish of facing Kevin Lee, he did eventually end up meeting Lee in Vegas. During a recent interview ‘Ataman’ talked about that encounter.

He said, “I saw him one time, and I said, ‘Wow, Kevin hey, my bro.’ And he didn’t say anything.”

Fiziev had even seen Lee at Tiger Muay Thai in Thailand, where they both used to train. “Yeah, I saw him in. He’s a cool guy. He talked well with everyone in the gym. Nice person, you know. But maybe he’s angry at me because I invited him to fight.”

“I don’t know, but when I invite him and he doesn’t say anything, this is like love. I love him, and sometimes we love someone, some woman and this woman doesn’t love us, and we try to do something. You know how it is? I feel bad because he said nothing.”

What next for Kevin Lee and Rafael Fiziev?

While ‘The Motown Phenom’ will face Brady at the UFC Fight Night 192 event, there has been no announcement about what’s next for Fiziev. Fiziev has an MMA record of (9-1) and is considered one of the brightest prospects in the UFC.

Therefore, after his last victory against Moicano, many believe that Fiziev will face some ranked fighters next. However, as of now, there is no news as to who he will face next.
