The main event of UFC 300 is yet to be announced. UFC CEO Dana White is building anticipation for the announcement and meanwhile, Conor McGregor has once again expressed his wish to fight on that historic pay-per-view with a tease on social media. However, fans appeared to be skeptical of the Irishman’s tease as they gave their verdict about it on Twitter (X).

It has been more than two years since Conor McGregor last competed inside the Octagon. While his career outside of UFC seems to have set social media abuzz after the trailer of ‘Road Housedropped recently, the former double champion has not found an official date for his comeback to fighting. However, McGregor hasn’t stopped asking Dana White for the date he desires to return on.

Although Conor McGregor made a fortune with his ventures outside of fighting, the Irishman is still fixated on making a comeback to the UFC. Moreover, he has a date in mind, and given that UFC 300 is yet to get its main event, ‘The Notorious’ asked Dana White for a return this April. McGregor recently took to Instagram and shared a story, with a request to the UFC CEO.

Conor McGregor delighted his fans by sharing a captivating video clip, showcasing the moment when White introduced him with great enthusiasm at a press conference. The video had a caption that read: “UFC 300? Super Bowl announcement?” He also tagged Dana White and wrote: “[Dana White] [winky face],” indicating that the CEO may have a potential announcement for the Irishman this Sunday at Super Bowl LVIII regarding his return. Meanwhile, fans had a lot to say about this tease. Let’s see how they reacted to it.

Fans refuse to be fooled by McGregor’s tease

The fans seemed to be furious with Conor McGregor’s antics. One fan believes that Dana White might have wanted to surprise fans with the Irishman’s return at UFC 300. However, he believes that McGregor ruined it by spilling it while intoxicated.

Another fan echoed the same sentiment about Dana White, believing that the UFC CEO is probably thinking of making a surprise announcement for Conor McGregor.
