Conor McGregor vs. Nate Diaz‘s trilogy fight was one of the most awaited ones in the UFC. Unfortunately, ever since Diaz announced his retirement, that dream trilogy between him and McGregor seemed to be settled in the dust. However, recently, an enthusiastic McGregor still proposed an idea of a title fight between him and Diaz, but not for an MMA bout in the UFC.

The Irishman has expressed interest in squaring off against Nate Diaz in Power Slap as Dana White expands his reign in the combat sports by entering the slap-driven league with his own promotion. A slap battle featuring McGregor vs. Diaz does not seem like that far-fetched of a notion to carry out, given the potential it’d possess if this were to really materialize. And the much-anticipated trilogy between these two UFC superstars is still due, so the fans might just take it, too. But again, White gets the last word. However, the Mac has spoken his part.

‘The Notorious’ even slipped in a subtle taunt on Nate Diaz by calling him a “little slapper”, suggesting the controversy the latter got indulged in at UFC 281, for slapping Dillon Danis‘ friend. McGregor has never held back from poking fun at Diaz, and he did the same in his subsequent tweet, too.

After challenging the ‘Diablo’ to a slap fight, the Irishman sent out a follow-up tweet in response to his old interview. In the interview, McGregor made multiple money-related barbs at Diaz. ‘The Notorious’ claimed to rake in more than 10 million dollars out of his fight with Nate Diaz. The Dubliner stated, “I’m gonna breeze past the 10 million mark. Breeze past it. Zroom!”

““Zroom” hahahahah I wasn’t lying either” wrote McGregor in his tweet, pointing out that particular claim he made.

Nate Diaz appeared noticeably irritated during the interview as the Irishman hurled insults against him endlessly. However, based on his theatrics throughout the interview, it looks like that’s exactly what McGregor was going for. That’s classic Conor McGregor for you.
