The signing of Orolbai to the UFC marks the first appearance of a fighter from Kyrgyzstan in the UFC. However, it’s interesting to note that both Valentina Shevchenko and Antonina Shevchenko also claim Kyrgyzstan as their birthplace, despite their citizenship in Peru.

Orolbai made his name in the LFA for his smothering wrestling style. As evidenced by the 4 submission victories on his professional record. He holds notable wins over Hayward Charles and Jalin Fuller in the LFA.

In fact, his knockout of Charles at LFA 170 highlights the destructive power he possesses in his striking. The uppercut was shared by Team Alpha Male on their Instagram account captioned, “STATEMENT MADE ‼️ @Orolbai_Uulu_Myktybek dialed up one of the prettiest Uppercut Knockouts in @LFAfighting history!”

Myktybek Orolbai trains out of Team Alpha Male. According to reports online, the 25-year-old went undefeated in his first six professional fights before suffering the only loss of his career. He will be stepping in on short notice against Uros Medic to replace the injured Johnny Parsons.
