Initially, he noticed a small blister on his elbow, which escalated into swelling and pain. Despite efforts to treat it with antibiotics, the infection worsened. The orthopedic surgeon had to drain Brady’s elbow twice and determined it was a septic bursitis which led to him pulling out of the matchup. However, his wife’s presence and experience allowed him to get treated before he could suffer from further complications.

Brady is now ready to show off the best version of himself against Kelvin Gastelum and he’s also got a call-out ready if he secures a win this weekend in Austin!

Brady is interested in taking on a former training partner

With Brady coming off his first career loss, a TKO defeat to Belal Muhammad, and Gastelum returning to welterweight after years at middleweight, the stakes are high for his upcoming bout.

Looking beyond Gastelum, Brady has expressed interest in facing Ian Garry, with whom he had previously sought a matchup. In an interview ahead of the Fight Night event, Brady criticized Garry’s recent departure from their shared gym in South Florida, labeling it disrespectful to the gym family.

Brady stated, “…to kind of do the sh*t that he’s been doing and then talking about training and how the guys know how good he is and he’s beating everybody up in the gym, and now I see Brendan Allen was calling him out and he’s starting to get some backlash. I just think that sh*t’s wack.”
