UFC middleweight title contender Derek Brunson made his opinions clear on the Roe vs Wade controversy that has taken the US by storm.
On Friday, the Supreme Court of the United States of America overturned the historical Roe vs Wade ruling via a 4-5 decision. This move by the SCOTUS ended 50 years of federal abortion rights in the nation. As a result, protests sparked in various parts of the country and have been fuming ever since.

Many celebrities from various backgrounds made their thoughts on this polarizing issue clear and one such was UFC star Derek Brunson. As protests gripped the nation over the weekend, Brunson, who hails from North Carolina, a state where the fate of abortion laws still remains uncertain, broke his silence over the overturning of the ruling.
He wrote, “MEN SHOULDN’T BE MAKING LAWS ABOUT WOMENS BODIES.”
Brunson is one of the few MMA fighters who are proactive and vocal about news related to their country or other social issues. The 38-year-old UFC middleweight title aspirant is recently coming off a KO loss at UFC 271. Having amassed himself a 5-fight winning streak, if not for the loss, Brunson would have been fighting Israel Adesanya, the 185-pounds champion.

However, Adesanya‘s comment wasn’t as strong as Brunson’s. Rather, the comment was sarcastic in nature. The ‘Stylebender’, in his Tweet, wrote: “Ban condoms then…🤷🏾♂️”
In an attempt at taking a jibe at the decision, Adesanya followed the tweet with a series of retweets from other accounts that were in alignment with Adesanya’s views.
