It looks like Merab Dvalishvili isn’t done with getting one over Sean O’Malley! At UFC 306, under the bright lights of ‘The Sphere’, the Georgian made a statement with his performance against ‘Suga’. Over 5-rounds, he completely nullified O’Malley’s striking with his relentless takedowns, and pressure, thus dominating the fight completely. The result? ‘The Machine’ walked away with his hand raised and the bantamweight title around his waist.

However, the two haven’t stopped taking shots at one another! In a recent video shared on social media, O’Malley made a cheeky post with the caption, “IM BACKKKK. AND STILL. Rewatch the fight. 1,3,5 I won. You have to beat the champ to be the champ. God it feels GOOOOOOD!! thank you guys. can’t wait to defend my belt again.”

The video also shows O’Malley pulling out a UFC title and claiming that he is still “undefeated”. He also proclaimed that he will be taking on Umar Nurmagomedov next year in “June or July”. Dvalishvili’s response? Not one to be outdone, the newly crowned champ fired back with a hilarious skit. Featuring a doll with O’Malley’s face riding a toy Lamborghini, Dvalishvili stated, “Listen son, don’t worry about this Umar Nurmagomedov. I will take care of Umar. You’re not a champion anymore…”

With a smirk and some kisses, he added, “Let’s go, Sean, no more smoke, no more smoke. See you, bye. Drive safe okay.” The reactions in the comments highlighted the fact that the fans couldn’t get enough of this back-and-forth. Here’s a look at what the community had to say!

Fans are left clutching their sides as Merab Dvalishvili scores a hit with hilarious skit

Merab Dvalishvili’s antics have seemingly endeared him to the fans as one comment pointed out that the Georgian is “overhated”. In fact, Dvalishvili has been ‘trolling’ O’Malley even before they were scheduled to face each other for the title. At UFC 288, after defending his title against Henry Cejudo, Aljamain Sterling faced off against Sean O’Malley inside the Octagon.

But ‘The Machine’ was also inside the cage and stole the moment by grabbing O’Malley’s red jacket and quietly putting it on with a big grin on his face. Sterling explained, “Then I saw afterwards he took his jacket, which is hysterical. I thought it looked better on Merab anyway.”

“Merab is overhated. Dude is funny af”

Henry Cejudo caught a stray shot as one fan humorously claimed that the toy car in the video is Cejudo’s ride! ‘Triple C’ has been out of action since his unanimous decision loss to Dvalishvili at UFC 298 earlier this year. His next target? It looks like he’s angling for a chance to take on Sean O’Malley as after UFC 306, he shared on X, “Merab found the formula to Sean! Let me at him next”

“damn they stole cejudos car”

Some simply stated that the video was another setback on O’Malley’s platter. The injury in question? Speaking to streamer Adin Ross after UFC 306, ‘Suga revealed, “I tore my left labrum in my hip. That’s the only reason I’m going to be out for so long. This surgery should only take two months to come back from, then a couple months recovery.”

“Insult to injury”

Meanwhile, the MMA fandom also wanted Dvalishvili to shift his focus on his next opponents. The Georgian wasn’t too keen on Umar Nurmagomedov, currently ranked no. 2 in the bantamweight division getting a title shot as he’d proclaimed, “why he deserve fight for the belt?”. But things seem to have changed now as in a recent post on X, he’d shared, “Whoever the UFC puts in front of me, I will fight as I always do, even if I don’t think they deserve the next shot.” It remains to be seen what new skits Dvalishvili will come up with for the Dagestani contender!

“Funny but start making skits about Umar let’s go now. Keep moving”

Even die-hard Sean O’Malley fans had to confess that Dvalisvhili’s charm and humor have endeared him to the fan base. With the belt around his waist, the Georgian is rapidly gaining more fans with his persona and cheeky responses to O’Malley’s jabs outside the Octagon!

“No matter how much of a sugar fan you are it’s really starting to get hard to not like this guy”

In conclusion, Merab Dvalishvili has clearly struck a chord with fans, both for his dominant performance and his hilarious antics outside the cage. As Sean O’Malley continues to take random shots, ‘The Machine’ is quick to fire back with wit and charm that even some of ‘Suga’s’ biggest supporters can’t deny. With his growing popularity, and a new rivalry with Umar Nurmagomedov potentially on the horizon, will Merab Dvalishvili keep the belt around his waist and the jokes rolling?
