Michael Bisping got involved in a Twitter beef with Deron Winn. Winn beat Antonio Arroyo in the last UFC card of the year, but many were critical of the middleweight contender’s performance. He managed to land 12 takedowns on his opponent, but took too many shots in the first round of the fight.

Michael Bisping was one of the critics of Winn’s performance. But Winn seemed not too happy with the criticism and decided to take a shot at the former UFC middleweight champion, threatening to take him down 13 times in 15 minutes. Bisping’s son Callum Bisping also couldn’t avoid Winn’s wrath.

With this win, Winn has got back from his two-fight skid. He lost to Gerald Meerschaert via submission and suffered a split decision loss to Darren Stewart in his last two outings. Winn’s UFC record now stands at 2-2.

Michael Bisping was defended by his son on Twitter

Michael Bisping’s son Callum Bisping came to his father’s defense. He challenged Winn to a wrestling match but doubted whether the latter could pass an NCAA drug test.

Bisping is yet to issue any sort of response to Winn. But knowing the former champion’s colorful character, something may be on the way. Or he may just ignore the topic.

Bisping is retired for a long time now. He hasn’t fought since his knockout loss to Kelvin Gastelum in 2017. Bisping became the UFC middleweight championship at UFC 199 when he defeated Luke Rockhold by knockout. He lost the belt to George Dt. Pierre in 2017 at UFC 217.
