The former Glory kickboxing champion is 3-0 in the UFC after he secured an amazing first-round finish against top contender Sean Strickland at UFC 276. Following that, ‘Borz’ called him out via a tweet, “I’m want to fight with this guy @ufc @danawhite. let’s make it,” he wrote.
Although a match-up between Chimaev and Pereira will definitely be a treat for the fans, it is not on the books right now. This is because the UFC middleweight kingpin, Israel Adesanya, wants to settle scores with Pereira.

This loss has left a nasty mark on Izzy’s career, as his naysayers have been reminding him of it ever since ‘Poatan’ entered the UFC. The 185lbs king has almost finished the entire middleweight division, and now he wants to undo his previous error.

“We know who’s next… Trust me. The first time I told you, it was an error on my part spamming right hands and that was in kickboxing. It’s easy to knock out the homeboy… Because he was parrying the jabs. But like I said at the press conference, next time I put you on skates, you’re gonna get frozen like Elsa. I’ll leave it at that,” Adesanya said in his post-fight Octagon interview at UFC 276.
Given all these factors, Adesanya vs. Pereira is surely in the books, even the promotion will benefit from this fight as both have a good name in the MMA industry.
