No one could have predicted that a young Liverpool native would rise through the ranks in the UFC’s most competitive division. That man is none other than Paddy Pimblett, who, with his “the harder you work, the luckier you get” mentality, has been making waves in the promotion after already leaving his mark on the regional circuits. English prospect has remained undefeated in all six of his fights since his UFC debut, derailing anyone in his path.

Michael Bisping weighs in on the ideal opponent for Paddy Pimblett

Paddy Pimblett has quickly become a force to reckon with in the lightweight division, causing headaches for his opponents in a short span. Throughout his journey, he has taken down fighters like Tony Ferguson and Bobby Green, prompting discussions about who would be his ideal next opponent. Many believe it should be someone who combines aggressive striking with elite grappling.

This topic recently came up during Michael Bisping’s latest YouTube Q&A session when a fan asked him who Brit should face next. Bisping responded, “Oh dear. Who would I put Paddy Pimblett in with next? Well, it’s time to… He’s in the deep water. [Renato] Moicano.”

Renato Moicano has been making headlines, particularly after his explosive performance at UFC Fight Night 243 in Paris last month, where he delivered a masterclass against Benoit Saint-Denis, leaving an unforgettable mark on the fans. Bisping praised Moicano’s fighting style, stating, “He asked for Renato Moicano. That is the fight to make. Money, Moicano. Paddy Pimblett. Their styles match up well. They’ve got great Jiu-Jitsu, the pair of them. You put that on pay-per-view, it’s going to sell a lot of pay-per-views. That’s the matchup.”

Immediately following the conclusion of UFC’s outing in Paris, Moicano wasted no time calling out the Brit in the post-event presser to which Pimblett responded positively. He stated his intent with a short response on Instagram, “Let’s do this!” Nonetheless, Pimblett has multiple other noteworthy opponents lined up, including the lightweight division champion.

Islam Makhachev’s Thoughts on a Potential Clash with ‘The Baddy’

UFC lightweight division king Islam Makhachev has nearly defeated every contender the promotion’s matchmakers have placed in front of him during his nine-year journey in the UFC. While contemplating a move to a higher weight class, one performance caught his attention and changed his mind: Paddy Pimblett’s recent victory over Bobby Green at UFC 304 in Manchester, where he secured a triangle choke in just one round, earning a $200,000 bonus.

During a quick Q&A session, a fan posed a question to Makhachev about facing Pimblett. Makhachev replied, “When he deserves it, why not? I see how he finished King. It was a good performance, and now it’s time for him to face good opponents when he’s at the top. Now he has to train more. All the guys are so dangerous.” Receiving praise from the division king himself, an excited Pimblett responded candidly, stating, “We are coming, brother! We are coming.”
