UFC legend Michael Bisping believes Israel Adesanya is not yet the greatest UFC fighter of all time. ‘The Last Stylebender’ is one of the most prominent names in the promotion. He is a phenomenal fighter and has got amazing striking skills. Izzy is currently undefeated in the 180lbs roster. And has only one setback since his debut in the promotion.

Izzy hails a professional fighting record of 22-1 under his name. Moreover, besides being an amazing fighter, the middleweight champion is an absolute entertainer, which makes him the pay-per-view star of the promotion.

Considering all these factors, many UFC fans and pundits believe Izzy to be one of the greatest middleweight fighters to ever grace the UFC octagon. However, the former middleweight champion Michael Bisping doesn’t fall under this bracket.

In his recent YouTube video, ‘The Count’ compared Izzy’s career stats with the UFC legend Anderson Silva and said, We are here to talk about whether Israel Adesanya’s resume is better than that (compared to Anderson Silva) and the short answer is not. It’s just not. Now that doesn’t mean it can’t be.”

“Of course, it can be Israel is still a young man. He has got a lot of time on his side and he’s still a phenomenal fighter. But when you compare the two records right now. They just don’t stack up. And I am not tryna be a hater. I am just pointing out the facts.”

Even though Izzy has defeated ‘The Spider’ in their bout at UFC 234, Bisping believes Silva was not in his prime. However, he took nothing from Izzy and claimed he could still achieve the G.O.A.T status, as he is still in his prime.

What is next for the champion Israel Adesanya?

‘The Last Stylebender’ recently defended his UFC middleweight gold against Robert Whittaker at UFC 271. This was Izzy’s fourth title defense in the promotion. He has defeated almost all the fighters from the middleweight roster.

Hence, who is next for Izzy? is a big question. The number two middleweight fighter Jared Cannonier after his second win in a row at UFC 271 demanded a shot at the title. Interestingly, UFC boss Dana White didn’t say no to his demand at the post-fight press conference.

Hence, we might see this fight come to fruition in the future. Also, the number five 180lbs contender Sean Strickland called for a title shot in his previous win.
