Conor McGregor recently took to his Twitter account to announce his return to the Octagon. The 35-year-old even picked Michael Chandler as his opponent for his possible return. Yet, in a recent YouTube video in his show, Michael Bisping seemingly has come up with a new opponent for the former two-division champion.

UFC CEO Dana White has yet to announce any official date for the return of McGregor, which means Chandler has to wait a bit longer. Chandler has been playing the waiting game for a long time, and Bisping feels it’s the right time to let go of the fight. Let us find out who the former champion picks as McGregor’s possible opponent.

The fans have been waiting desperately for the return of Conor McGregor, and they have to wait a bit longer. ‘The Notorious’ did show his intent of returning to the Octagon during the International Fight Week on June 29 in Vegas.

However, the UFC is yet to announce the fight officially. McGregor has been very clear about his opponent Michael Chandler, but a delay from the UFC might affect the patience of ” Iron.”

In his recent YouTube video, Bisping surprised the fans when he picked Justin Gaethje as his next opponent. During the video, he said: “Listen, Dana likes to hold things close to his chest, and you want to make an announcement. Maybe McGregor shouldn’t have said anything there. Who knows? Maybe his training isn’t going as well as what he thought. Maybe there could be a million bloody different reasons. Maybe he’s just not in the gym yet, and he needs more time. I still don’t think if you are Chandler, you let it go. I still don’t. But at some point, you have to walk away. 

Anthony Smith then asked who McGregor would face if he didn’t face Chandler, to which Bisping replied: ” Justin Gaethje.” The Highlight” is all set to face Max Holloway at UFC 300 and will look to keep his winning momentum going. Nevertheless, the fans are more excited to know about the return of McGregor and his possible opponent.

Who will Conor McGregor face on his return? 

Conor McGregor was last seen inside the Octagon at UFC 264 when he took on Dustin Poirier. The 35-year-old lost the fight via knockout after suffering a severe leg injury. Since then, the fans have eagerly awaited to watch the two-division champion in action. He has recovered from his leg injury and recently hinted at a possible comeback. However, the date and the opponent have yet to be decided.

McGregor called out Bisping to fight him at 185 pounds, and Bisping took on the challenge. Although both the fighters are willing to fight each other, there is still no confirmation about the much-awaited battle.
