McGregor is often regarded as “The Mystic Mac” specifically due to the unpredictability that he has consistently displayed both inside and outside the octagon. This unpredictability has always been a topic of discussion among fans as well as critics.

McGregor, who initially entered the UFC as a featherweight fighter, has finally decided on the weight class in which he is going to make his comeback. He tweeted in response to a fan, and his response was promptly replied to by Chandler.

The fighter was supposed to fight Michael Chandler following their coaching roles on The Ultimate Fighter. However, his tussle with USADA kept the matchup at bay. Recently, when a fan asked if McGregor would fight in the 170 lbs category, McGregor tweeted that he would do it in the 185 lbs category.

Michael Chandler was soon to respond to McGregor’s choice as he took it to his Twitter account to agree on the weight class. Chandler stated, “185 would be great… finally, an easy cut after 22 years of hard weight cutting. seeyousoon.” His tweet added a new dimension to the comeback story.

McGregor has been persistent in his efforts to make this fight happen since The Ultimate Fighter 31. However, he has been thwarted on multiple occasions due to USADA regulations. Dana White also hinted at McGregor’s comeback in December, but no official announcement has been made yet. Nonetheless, this tweet by Chandler suggests that the match will happen soon enough.

Conor McGregor tweet sparks speculation about clash with Volkanovski

In McGregor’s quest to make a comeback, he has challenged various fighters ranging from Michael Chandler to Dustin Poirier to Nate Diaz. However, in his recent revelation, he has called out Alexander Volkanovski making him his latest challenger. During the UPC 293 event, he made a tweet that shocked the MMA community.

McGregor, in his own cheeky manner, tweeted, “Ask my bollox that little sausage Volkanovski is no way p4p 1. Silly. That’s quick work for me. 100% accuracy work. Readable. Hittable. Hurtable. I like he has this title tho we should fight at some stage so the FW goats will have all faced off and let there be no debate.”

His challenge has yet to get any reply from Volkanovski, McGregor’s tweet has ignited speculation about a possible clash between two of the most formidable featherweights in their prime. Nonetheless, McGregor still has his forthcoming bout with Michael Chandler on the horizon.
