Michael Chandler slams Conor McGregor for fight claims

Ahead of the UFC 300 press conference, there were rumors that Michael Chandler and Conor McGregor would be present at the event and there would be an announcement of an official date for the fight. However, UFC boss Dana White shut down the talks at the press conference when he stated, “Don’t believe anything you read on the internet.”

McGregor wants Chandler fight to be just 3-rounds

In his recent appearance on The MMA Hour during the promotional tour for his role in ‘Road House’, Conor McGregor claimed to have received confirmation for his UFC return this summer. Interestingly, McGregor also indicated that he is inclined to return to a shorter format fight, something he hasn’t done since early in his career.

He stated, “Maybe I might say to them, ‘Look, I’m just doing three rounds, lads, for this one, and I want to just wet me beak.’ I’ll do three rounds really nicely now, rather than pushing through to get to five.”
