Demetrious Johnson and Adriano Moraes are all set to compete for the ONE flyweight championship. The fight is all set to air live on TNT on April 7; it is a highly anticipated event. As expected ‘ Mighty Mouse’ is being touted as the favorite going into the fight as many hail the former UFC champion as the greatest flyweight fighter of all time.

Johnson is certainly the more popular fighter and is bound to get more attention from all parts of the media. And according to Miesha Tate, this is something that is not making Moraes happy. During an interview, ‘Cupcake’ talked about the same.

Adriano’s a black belt and not just a black belt, and he’s a great fighter. He’s been doing amazing things, and he’s a well-established champion of the division.”

She said, “But he feels a bit disrespected by the media, to be honest, because he’s getting little to no love compared to Demetrious Johnson, who obviously is going to take the lion’s share being you know what I’d consider the (flyweight) GOAT.”

When people underestimate someone they become more dangerous and according to Tate, this is going to happen with Moraes.

“But I think Adriano Moraes, it’s not only his belt- it’s his legacy. It’s the fact that people are underestimating him. He wants to go in there and he wants to take that shine off of Demetrious Johnson.”

Whatever the pre-match analysis and build-up are, none of that will matter once the fighters step inside the ring. Johnson would look to win another championship and further establish his status as the GOAT. Whereas Moraes would look to prove to the world that he is the rightful champion.

“It’s going to be a good scrap. I know Adriano Moraes feels a little disrespected in all of this- not by Demetrious, but by the coverage, Demetrious gets vs. him. I think he’s going to come out looking to make a real statement.”

It’s tough to understand how the support and focus on ‘Mighty Mouse’ is really affecting the champion, but one thing is for sure: when these two outstanding fighters get inside the ring, it is going to be epic.
