‘Cupcake’ returned to action last weekend and took on the number three ranked flyweight fighter, Lauren Murphy, on the main card of UFC ABC 3. Apparently, this was Tate’s debut in the flyweight division.
However, Tate’s flyweight debut was spoiled by ‘Lucky’ after she battered her for the whole three rounds. Although the former champion exchanged a few blows of her own, she couldn’t get through Murphy.
‘Lucky’ dominated most of the round by displaying outstanding striking skills and take-down defense. Finally, she took home a unanimous victory, leaving Tate all bruised up after the fight.
However, despite the injuries after the gruesome battle, ‘Cupcake’ attended the New York Yankees game and also posted a picture of herself from the stadium. Tate can be seen wearing a big eye patch in the photo.
