It seems that Donald Cerrone is interested in a fight against the newcomer. While it is not known whether this fight will take place in the future, it surely would be an interesting bout to watch. Sean O’Malley spoke about this possible bout and had several important aspects to point out. He said, “Supposedly, that could be happening. I don’t think they have announced Paddy’s next, … Paddy’s next opponent. … Could be against UFC legend.”

He further feels that Pimblett might be able to defeat Cerrone. He said, “God, he might beat Cowboy because Cowboy does not do good in pressure situations. And Paddy’s gonna bring that, that anxiety, that ‘oh my god, you’re fighting Patty’, that feeling. Might be a good fight for Paddy.”

Lastly, O’Malley said, “Cowboy’s saying, ‘I’m not fighting for anyone other than myself, this fight’s different.”
