Maryna Moroz got an impressive win at UFC 272 as she submitted Mariya Agapova via Arm Triangle Choke in the second round. Moroz was happy with the win, but got emotional in her post-fight interview with Joe Rogan. She even showed concern for her loved ones while interacting with the press during the post-fight media interaction.

Thus, after Moroz’s exceptional performance and remarks, many fighters tweeted out in support of her.

 

Henry Cejudo showed his support and tweeted, “Can’t even begin to imagine what Maryna Moroz and her family in Ukraine are going through right now, but I hope her performance provides them even the smallest bit of an escape. There won’t be a more impressive performance tonight.”

Bloody Elbow pointed out the reaction she got from the crowd and the situation in which the performance came in.

MMA journalist Brett Okamoto tweeted, That was great. Impossible not to admire what Maryna Moroz did this week.”

Luke Thomas tweeted, Touching post-fight comments from Moroz about her native Ukraine right now.”

Marc Raimondi mentioned her win and the fact that she was out of the octagon for two years.

During her walkout, Moroz got a huge pop from the Las Vegas crowd.

However, there were more hurdles to this exceptional performance from Moroz.

For the last two years, the Ukrainian fighter had a rough time trying to extend her two-fight winning run as she had many canceled fights. Her last win came in March 2020, and two years later, she returned with a tremendous submission win at UFC 272. It was her first finish in almost seven years.

Moroz was fighting her former teammate Mariya Agapova, who looking to secure consecutive wins. ‘Iron Lady’ didn’t let this bother her and focused solely on her professional goal as she got the job done in the second round.
