Chael Sonnen and Anderson Silva are two of the most successful fighters in the UFC. Both of them competed in the middleweight division. The fighters collided twice inside the Octagon when they were in their prime. UFC 117 was the first time when Silva defended his title against Sonnen. ‘The American Gangster’ dominated the fight, but Silva won the battle via a triangle armbar.

Sonnen then won two consecutive fights, which earned him another title shot. However, this time around, Silva did not waste much time and won the match in the second round via TKO.
