Elon Musk had made headlines with his $44 billion deal with Twitter. However, it is now in jeopardy and hence, ex-MMA fighter, Gina Carano reacted to a Musk meme shared by The Daily Wire.

Musk was not happy with the number of spam accounts Twitter has. Hence, the billionaire tried to back out of the deal altogether. As reported by The New York Times, in the regulatory filing, Musk claimed the social media platform had not provided the necessary information about spam accounts.

Hence, Musk decided to discontinue the deal over that issue.

In the regulatory filing, a part read, “Mr. Musk and his financial advisors at Morgan Stanley have been requesting critical information from Twitter as far back as May 9, 2022—and repeatedly since then—on the relationship between Twitter’s disclosed mDAU figures and the prevalence of false or spam accounts on the platform.”

“Notwithstanding these repeated requests over the past two months, Twitter has still failed to provide much of the data and information responsive to Mr. Musk’s repeated requests…”

As a result, people have been talking about the initial huge deal and the subsequent withdrawal.

Carano thus shared a meme of Twitter censoring people even more after Elon Musk pulls out of the deal.

Gina Carano shares thoughts on Twitter as a platform

Many people have had an issue with Twitter censoring tweets. In fact, Musk’s biggest dream with the platform was to allow free speech. Many people were happy with the news that the entrepreneur would discourage censoring on the platform.

In fact, MMA pioneer Gina Carano too wanted Twitter to be more open and stop censoring. Back in 2021, she even recommended GETTR as it could give Twitter competition.

Now with Musk officially trying to get out of the deal with Twitter, it would be interesting to see what happens further. However, it won’t be easy. As reported by The New York Times, Musk had signed a legally binding agreement in April in order to buy the company.
