Conor McGregor recently attended Anthony Joshua‘s boxing match against Robert Helenius. The British boxer, Joshua, registered a knockout victory and even celebrated his win with ‘The Notorious’. Meanwhile, McGregor revealed his plans for a return, and it seems like the fight against Michael Chandler might still happen. There are also speculations that the fight might take place at UFC 296.

McGregor told ‘TalkSport’, “December, [Michael] Chandler. I have to [fight him].” Additionally, McGregor also mentioned his desire to fight for the BMF belt as well. He and Justin Gaethje are already in agreement for a fight, so we might just get that fight too. “Then Gaethje. BMF,” said the former double champion.

Moreover, McGregor also said that he’s also looking forward to the trilogy fight against former rival Nate Diaz“And then Nate. We’ll do Nate trilogy [Diaz],” said the former double champion. Meanwhile, Michael Chandler has agreed to fight the Irishman in December. However, the main issue that people are talking about is his USADA situation. We will have to see how that turns out.

Dustin Poirier receives a callout at welterweight

Vicente Luque made a triumphant return to the Octagon with a win over veteran Rafael dos Anjos. He won the fight via a unanimous decision. Following his win, ‘The Silent Assassin’ issued a challenge to former lightweight interim champion Dustin Poirier. ‘The Diamond’ had already teased a move up the weight class earlier, and it looks like he already has the first fight in his grasp.

While discussing what was next for Vicente Luque, he spoke about his wish to break into the top 5 of the decision. He also said that a fight with Dustin Poirier could be an interesting one. He said, “An interesting fight as well. I think I’d love to welcome Dustin Poirier if he needs somebody.” It could be an interesting matchup for the fans.

UFC 292 contender gets injured

The upcoming UFC pay-per-view is slowly losing its drawing power with certain pullouts from fighters. After Geoff Neal withdrew from his fight against Ian Garry, now former bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt has also announced his withdrawal from UFC 292 as well.

The former bantamweight champion’s injury, which occurred during the closing stages of his training, has disrupted the planned exciting match between Garbrandt and Mario Bautista. Garbrandt’s unavailability has put a dampener on what was set to be an intriguing bout. We will have to wait and see how the UFC handles that situation.
