The world of MMA has advanced a lot with the happening of new events in the last 24 hours. After UFC 284, noted pundits of the sport chose to vent out their views on the outcome of the bouts. The controversial results of the coveted main event of UFC 284 garnered a lot of reactions. The noted UFC star, Conor McGregor, held onto his usual habit of tweeting his opinion about fights. ‘Mystic Mac’ voiced his post-UFC 284 opinions with a tweet as well. Additionally, the UFC color commentator, Joe Rogan, was in utter disbelief about Islam Makhachev’s UFC 284 win.

Lastly, the UFC Interim. Featherweight Champion Daniel Rodriguez gave a post-bout message to his UFC 284 rival, Josh Emmet.

UFC fans are no strangers to Conor McGregor’s brash attitude. The Irishman is known by a lot mostly for his bitter online feuds and controversial tweets. But, as it seems, even ‘The Notorious’ couldn’t help liking the superb UFC 284 event.

The extraordinary card consisted of a lot of enthralling matchups that lived up to their hype. Putting the cherry on the cake, the Islam Makhachev vs Alexander Volkanovski event also turned out to be an enthraller. McGregor, who had previously derided the Makhachev vs Volkanovski matchup, appreciated them in a way as well.

It was apparent that McGregor loved all the hype and action that the UFC 284 delivered.

Joe Rogan was left in disbelief after Islam Makhchev’s win over Alexander Volkanovski

The UFC color commentator, Joe Rogan, misses out on the overseas UFC events due to his packed schedule. However, the ‘former Fear Factor host’ ensures to watch most of the UFC events. UFC 284 wasn’t an exception as Rogan was joined by MMA personalities Brendan Schaub and Eddie Bravo and noted comedian Bryan Callen for a live reaction session on his podcast, ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’.

All four of them expressed similar startled reactions after the coveted champ vs champ main event was declared in favor of Islam Makhachev. The ‘JRE host’ went, “Oh, my God. We were convinced (that Volkanovski was going to win)”. 

He further stated, “In my eyes, it was 3-2”. It was apparent that Rogan perceived Volkanovski as the champ-champ of the UFC.

Daniel Rodriguez had a post-bout message for his UFC 284 rival, Josh Emmett

A lot of UFC 284 viewers had seen the current UFC Interim Featherweight champion, Daniel Rodriguez, started to say something to his opponent, Josh Emmet, right after he finished him off with a triangle choke. Rodrigues finally revealed the incident in the post-fight press conference. He stated how he realized Emmett’s disappointment and hence decided to console him after his loss.

Rodriguez revealed, “I could see in his expression the desperation of like, ‘F***, I lost,'”. Rodriguez further revealed what he had said to Emmet, “No, No. Hey, no. Stop that thinking that you have right now. You’re a warrior. You will overcome this. You got this”.

A lot of MMA fans would agree that this wholesome act from the UFC Interim Featherweight Champion was really appreciable.
